Video: First Person Ride From the Red Bull Rampage
The 2016 edition of the Red Bull Rampage was held last week in Virgin, Utah, and as always it provided a host of spectacular video clips from this crazy downhill mountain bike event. To get a sense of what the riders face as the take on his crazy trail, take a look at the video below. It was captured by the helmet cam of pro rider Darren Berrecloth, who made a memorable ride along a route that I'd be reluctant to walk, let alone take my mountain bike on. This is two minutes of sheer terror for those of us who don't ride downhill on a trail that is anywhere close to this.

Video: Hiking Angels Landing In Zion National Park
Angels Landing is easily one of the most popular hiking trails in Zion National Park. The five-mile long route offers stunning views throughout the walk, but the trail is very narrow, making it a fun, but sometimes scary endeavor. The video below gives you a taste of that, as well as a glimpse of what to expect when you visit Zion itself.

Video: Riding the King Kong Mountain Bike Trail in Utah
Don't have time or the weather isn't right for a mountain bike ride today? Than why not join pro rider Andreu Lacondeguy as he takes on the King Kong trail in Utah, courtesy of GoPro. Andreu recently took on this amazing trail while wearing a Hero action camera on his chest. The result is a first person view of his ride that is amazing to watch. Check it out below.

Video: Another Look At Angels Landing In Zion National Park
A few weeks back I posted a great video of Angels Landing in Zion National Park, sharing a glimpse of what that great hike has to offer. The video below shares even more of that impressive trail, which appears to be a "must-do" for anyone who loves to hike, particularly in a national park. It is a beautiful setting, with an adrenaline inducing view.

Video: Exploring Utah with Ace and His Desert Dog
Last year, Ace Kvale turned 60 and to celebrate, he planned a 60 day journey through Utah's wonderful canyon country with his dog, a ten-year old Australian Blue Heeler named Genghis Kahn. Other friends came and went throughout the hike, but Genghis stayed with him the entire way. Their story is told brilliantly in this video, which reminds us why our favorite adventure dogs are definitely man's best friend.

Video: Trail Running Through the Canyons of Nowhere, Utah
The stunning landscapes of American southwest take center stage in this beautiful video that follows ultrarunners Rickey Gates and Dakota Jones as they head into the canyons of "Nowhere, Utah" to explore the amazing topography that is found there. Traveling on foot and by raft, the two men discover a vast wilderness that is simply breathtaking to behold. This is another great video from the team a Salomon, who have been knocking it out of the park with their clips recently. I hope you enjoy.

Video: More Than Just Parks Presents Zion in 8K
The latest video from Will and Jim Pattiz – the two brothers behind the More Than Just Parks project – is Zion National Park in Utah, a place that is remote, wild, and breathtakingly beautiful. As usual, Will and Jim do an amazing job of capturing the essence of the park, giving viewers a spectacular tour of this amazing place in just four minutes time. If you haven't been to Zion yet, you need to add it to your list of adventure destinations. But then again, after watching this video, you'll want to do that anyway. Enjoy!

Video: Hiking Angels Landing in Zion National Park
Zion National Park is home to some of the most outstanding landscapes found anywhere in the American west. It is also home to one of the most spectacular hikes as well. The walk out to Angels Landing is beautiful and challenging, making it difficult for some to reach the breathtaking view found at the end. Thanks to this video – shot on the new DJI Osmo camera – you won't have to. Sit back and enjoy, it is a jaw-dropping experience.

Video: Taking Flight Over Moab
This beautiful video takes us high above the rocky landscapes of Moab, Utah where eight different disciplines of flight (proximity flying, wingsuits, skydiving, etc.) all converge to show us what is possible when humans take to the air. The landscapes around Moab make a great backdrop for these scenes, which look incredible from every angle. After watching this, you'll believe that a man can fly.

Video: Zipline Base Jumping in Utah
In this video, a group of extreme athletes traveled to the amazing landscapes of Utah to attempt a version of BASE jumping that I've never seen before. It's called Zip-BASE and it involves first ziplining down a long line before letting go and parachuting back to Earth. In this case, that long zipline is spread out across a large canyon and looks like quite a ride in and and of itself. But, mid-way through the descent things get even more interesting. Looks like fun, but I never want to try this.

Video: Fat Biking Through the Iconic Landscapes of Utah
There is no question that fat biking is changing our perception of where you can go on a bike. Case in point, this fantastic video takes us deep into the deserts of Utah with pro rider Steve Fassbinder and a friend as they explore those iconic landscapes from the seat of a fatty. This will make you want to break out the big wheels and go on an adventure of your own.

Video: A Look at the Newest U.S. National Monument – Bears Ears
One of the big stories that occurred while we were away celebrating the holidays was that President Obama declared a new national monument in the form of Bears Ears in Utah. Stretching out over 1.3 million acres, the landscape there is utterly beautiful, and contains not only great opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, but is rich in culture and history for the Native Americans that once lived there. In this oh-so short, but wonderful, video we get a glimpse at this newly protected region, which is already on my list of places to visit.
